Role of the British Olympic Association (BOA)
There are 197 Olympic Associations, of which the BOA is one. They are all governed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
- Selection - Select the Great Britain Team
- Management - Preparing and Managing Team GB
- Liaison - Work with other organisations, such as the IOC
- Bids - Attracting the Olympics to Britain
- Team GB - Workshops, Welfare etc
- Camps - Provide training camps for athletes
- Sponsors - Appoint sponsors to people, and ensure they stay
- Promote/Support - Make sure that all athletes are known…
