Stalin faked alot of the statistics
Agriculture:
- Collectivisation was introduced to get all capitalist elements out of the land.
- Collective farms ran as co-operatives as the peasants pooled their resources and shared their labour and wages
- State farms contained peasants that worked directy for the state which paid them a wage
- There was little difference between the two types of farm as they were both done to stop private ownership of farms by peasants and that they would serve for the interests of the Soviet state
- Large farms were thought to be more efficient and encouraged effective use of agricultural machinery so 50-100 farms were combined into 1 farm
- This led to the rise of the motorised tractor
