  • raised seating
  • trapdoors
  • stage

The theatre was the earliest form of Roman public entertainment.
Roman religious traditions declared certain days of the year as non-working days.
These became less religious and more like festivals.

Plays were comedies and tradgedies.

Chorus sang the lyrics.
