Social Determinants
Opportunity: Having the chance to take part in physical activity, often determined by time and money.
Provisions: Having the facilities, equipment and the right conditions to partake.
Esteem: Having the right confidence to participate.
In the UK and USA, elderly people, people with disabilities, young children, ethnic minorities and women have far less opportunity and provision than White Anglo Saxon Male adults. This also then leads to them having a drop in esteem.
UK sport is active in the UK to try and tackle the problems for these 'target' groups, but there is no such organisation in the USA, although there are smaller initiatives.
The WASP's assume they are dominant due to them establishing the new world society.
