How are images displayed on a computer?
Images are made up of many individual pixels which use binary to determine what they look like.

How does binary work with images?
For example, where there are only two colours in a picture 1 represents one colour and 0 represents the other.

What is colour depth?
The number of bits available to represent each pixel

What is meant by resolution?
The pixels per inch (PPI). If the PPI is high, the resolution & image quality is also high.

What is metadata?
Information about the image data allowing the computer to recreate the image using binary. This must include height, width, and colour depth.

Define "pixel"
The smallest element of an image. A combination of pixels makes an image on the screen.
