Vygotsky argued that teachers and parents should try to understand the level of thinking a child was working from and then try to move the child on to a deeper level, always staying within what is possible for the child to understand.

Explain constructivism
People imagine that when they have a thought it must be caused by real events in the outside world. Constructivism would aruge that the things that we experience are inventions of our own mind.

Explain distored thinking
Some people have negative thoughts about themselves, some people react to these thoughts with if i think like that then it must be true. a constructivist would argue that we build our own inner world and that adults will question their own thoughts.
