hey do you know any presentational devices, about emotive language and more language features. i need help also on section B,on higher if you're writing a letter what sentence starter would u start it with. help! :)
when you are asked to comment on presentational devices the examiner wants you to write about the way that the texts look and are set out on the page. The writer will have used certain presentational devices to have a specific effect on the reader. You should comment on:
Font size
Pictures
Graphs
Use of colour
The way the text and images are set out
Contrasts-this could be pictures or font types, etc.
Many people find writing frames helpful. They are just another way of organising your thoughts using key phrases in each section. So, for your introduction in a letter you may write something like 'I am writing to you today...' . You would also include 'Dear..', the address or made up address and a date.
