One teaching is that Easter celebrates Jesus' resurrection. The Bible tells how Jesus died just before the Passover festival began in Friday evening and how the women found the tomb empty on Sunday morning.

As St Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15 “if Christ was not raised then your faith is useless, and you are still in your sins.” This shows that the resurrection is the most important belief for Christians, which makes Easter the most important festival.
