Aquinas says that Gods nature and Gods existence is the same thing. Davies believes that God is not a thing like a human being but is a thing in the same sense as you might talk about the human race as a 'whole'.

God is eternal and perfect. He is the cause of all change. Davies says that anything that changes in the world is part of it. God isnt part of this world, he is distinct from it therefore he cannot change.
