Describe the Sankey Commission
Formed in February 1919, it was created to assess the miners' demands for a 30% pay increase and a 7 hour work limit. By March, it had recommended partial nationalisation of the mines and a 20% pay rise. These demands were later rejected by LG.

Describe the Addison Housing Act in terms of Lloyd George's fall from power.
This 1919 act, although managing to build over 100,000 homes by 1922, created yet another scandal for the LG government. Addison had paid £910 per home which should have cost £385, and LG received the blame for this blatant waste of public spending.
