Devised the two-state solution in 1947. Provided support for Palestinian refugees. Granted EU membership to Israel as a "peace-loving country". Investigated Jewish settlements on Palestinian land.

Obama made clear it was no longer in US interest to support Israel (Trump reversed this). May 2011 - Obama calls for negotiations to begin for a Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders.
