Disagreements regarding the content of a legal rule can be resolved through reference to a precedent or Act of Parliament
This can not be done with moral rules. Moral rules are not scientific truths and can be argued

The relationship between law and morality can be described as two intersecting circles. The area of intersection represents the coincidence of the two. The areas outside are where the two diverge
