STRONG- large sample for an observation in controlled conditions(123) however, problematic- only male-only volunteers- only from 3 US colleges- so could not generalise their findings, but could be abenefit due to the time women lower status.

STRONG- produced quantative data i.e 36.8 conformed allowing comparisons to be made between conditions (different group sizes)- Qualitative data based on interviews with the pps as to why they confromed- depth and detail.
