What is Multiple Sclerosis?
A disease affecting nerves in the brain and spinal cord, causing problems with vision and balance, Myolon is damaged/doesn't work as it should. The disease is more common is females than males and usually affects those aged 30-45.

What are the signs and symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis?
Facial pain, weakness in limbs, tremor, blurred/double vision, numbness/tingling legs and feet, bladder and bowel problems, fatigue.

What treatment and practitioners will a person with Multiple Sclerosis need?
An occupational therapist can recommend aids/adaptations, a GP can prescribe drugs to clients and relieve their symptoms, social workers -> needs assessments -> refer them to a personal assistant or domiciliary care worker.

What are the physical effects of Multiple Sclerosis?
Jerky movements.

Depression because they have the disease and they want to be like other people.

How is Multiple Sclerosis diagnosed?
Lumbar puncture -> a hollow needle is inserted between the vertebrae in the lower back and used to draw out fluid.
