the notion of the nama rupa being reborn into a new body either in the world or into another realm

Wheel of Life

one feature is the 'wheel' of life which shows the 12 causes of rebirth around the edge which stop the attainment of nirvanna. So its the endless circle of existence and good and bad karma (depending upon your duty) is represented by the wheel

Anatta

means no essential soul. No part of you is passed on throughout the notion. Used to explain this is the candle analogy- this is lighting one candle from another during this no substance is passed between these 2 candles- no soul is passed from body

Anicca

means impermanence and is the cycle of life and death, through this Buddhists teach everything in conscious life(vinanna) is changing

Dukkha

The term for suffering. teach suffering is caused by human desire over possessions so to stop suffering we must stop the need for possessions.

Strength (moral value)

since we are constantly changing and reborn then we should strive for good karmic events

some psychological truth in the idea of anatta since we always changing

Comforting for loved ones

No empirical evidence, so it cant be verified

Difficult to test and assess that memory is attained from rebirth to rebirth

Weakness (gloomy)

Quite a dark view of reality due to the inevitablity of suffering (dukkha)
