Fundamental law
The constitution of a state or nation; the basic law and principles contained in federal and state constitutions that direct and regulate the manner in which government is exercised.

Codefied constitution
A codefied constitution is a formal all-in-one document defining the nature of the constitutional settlement, the rules that govern the political system and the rights of citizens and governments in a codefied form.

Limited government
A political system in which legalized force is restricted through delegated and enumerated powers.

Flexibility/rigidity
The ability to be easily modified or willingness to change or compromise/so as to meet precise standards or firmly fixed or set.

Federalism
A system of government in which power is divided between a central authority and constituent political units.

De-centralisation of states' rights
The rights belonging to the various states, with reference to the Constitution, by which all rights not delegated by the Constitution to the federal government belong to the states is no longer happening and more power is given to the government.

Constitutional sovereignty
The supreme, absolute, and uncontrollable power by which an independent state is governed and from which all specific political powers are derived.

Entrenched rights
These are legal rights which have a special status, so that they cannot be removed or curtailed by the ordinary process of changing the law.

Constitutional interpretation
Constitutional interpretation is a theory or mode of thought that explains how the judiciary should interpret the law, particularly constitutional documents and legislation.
