What is Childhood?
Sociologists such as Philippe Ariès (1962) believed that childhood was only "invented" in the Middle Ages. He stated that before that time when children turned six they became miniture adults.

Youth can be described in many ways, one of the most common is that Youth is the period between childhood and adulthood. It is around the ages of being a teenager.

Biologically, all youth go through hormonal changes at puberty. At this time, young people experience changes in both their attitudes and behavior. Many young people go through times of being irritable and unsure of themselves.

Loss of innocence is the belief that children grow up fast and become aware of adult issues early.

This is where people have the belief that the age of youth is not the same everywhere; that social factors affect both age and the norms surrounding that stage. The Law, Social norms and Emotional/ behavioral norms are often evidence that shows this
